Our community came together once again to make a real difference during the Floyd Against Drugs Drug Drop event held on Saturday, April 25, 2026. Thanks to the incredible support of residents and our community partners, a total of 131.5 pounds of unused, expired, and unwanted medications were safely collected for proper disposal.
Hosted in partnership with the Floyd County Sheriff's Office, the Drug Drop event provided a safe and responsible way for community members to clean out medicine cabinets and help prevent prescription drug misuse, accidental poisoning, and environmental contamination. Events like these play an important role in keeping potentially dangerous medications out of the wrong hands.

We are so grateful to everyone who took the time to participate, spread the word, volunteer, and support this important initiative. Community involvement is what makes efforts like this successful, and every pound collected represents another step toward a healthier and safer Floyd County.
Together, we are continuing to raise awareness and take action in the fight against substance misuse in our community.
Stay tuned for future Drug Drop events and additional opportunities to get involved!
