The FAD Board extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the 2nd Annual Greg Shropshire Memorial Oratorical Contest, held this year at Rome City Hall. Co-Chairs Doug Walker and Marores Perry led the event with excellence, creating a meaningful experience for contestants, families, and guests.

Seven talented students from across local schools shared inspiring speeches, with support from family, friends, and educators. Special thanks to Doug Walker for recruiting our dedicated judges—Melvon Ingram, Tony McIntosh, and Eric Vaughn—and timekeeper Nancy Smith.

We also appreciate the FAD members who volunteered their time: Doug Walker, Marores Perry, Jennifer Jolly, Catherine Fricks, Alvin Jackson, and Carol Willis.
