Floyd Against Drugs (FAD) participated in the YMCA BooFest event on Friday, October 20th at Georgia Highlands College. The FAD house was sponsored by First National Community Bank. The house was decorated by the Floyd Youth Action Team (YAT) who gave candy and stickers to participants. YAT members also distributed information from the Georgia Department of Public Health to participating adults about quitting smoking and vaping.
BooFest is a family-friendly event featuring a Trick or Treat Village, a family dance with a DJ, face painting, bounce houses, train rides, games, and more!
All proceeds from BooFest benefit the Rome YMCA and provide Y programs to under-resourced children and families in our community. FAD was happy to participate and appreciates the YMCA for their organization of this great community event.
