FAD, AdventHealth Redmond, and the Floyd County Sheriff's Department hosted a drug drop on Saturday, October 28. Held at AdventHealth Redmond at 501 Redmond Road from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, 389 lbs. of unwanted or expired drugs were collected.
According to the FDA, drug take back programs are the best way to dispose of these medications. If children, adults, or pets in your home accidentally or intentionally ingest, touch, misuse, or abuse a medicine, they can suffer serious consequences including death.
