Drug Drop - April 25, 2026, from 9 am to noon

Mark your calendars! On Saturday, April 15th, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the Floyd County Sheriff's Office and Floyd Against Drugs are teaming up to host a Drug Drop event at Floyd County Jail at 2526 New Calhoun Hwy.

This event is part of the DEA National Drug Take Back Day, providing a safe way to dispose of unused or expired prescription medications. Proper disposal helps prevent drug misuse and protects our community from the dangers of improperly discarded medications.

What to Bring:

• Unwanted prescription medications

• Over-the-counter medications

What NOT to Bring:

• No sharps (needles or syringes)

  
  

Drive-Through Convenience: To make it easier for everyone, this event will be drive-through. You won’t need to get out of your car—just drive up, and our volunteers will assist you in safely disposing of your medications.

We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to clean out your medicine cabinets and help keep our community safe from prescription drug misuse.
